Texprocess, Techtextil and Heimtextil Summer Special in June in Frankfurt am Main
At Texprocess in Frankfurt am Main from 21 to 24 June 2022, international exhibitors will present the latest machines, plants, processes and services for the manufacture of garments and textile and flexible materials. Techtextil, the leading international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens and this year, once only, the Heimtextil Summer Special, international trade fair for home and contract textiles, takes place at the same time as Texprocess.

The manufacturers of sewing and garment technology as well as machines for processing technical textiles look back on a turbulent year in 2018: While the sector reported a substantial increase of 120 percent in cumulative terms between 2009 and 2017, exports in 2018 fell by 16.7 percent from 603 million Euros in 2017 to 502 million Euros in 2018. "The industry is experiencing strong uncertainty among its customers, which has a negative impact on investment behaviour," said Elgar Straub, Managing Director of VDMA Textile Care, Fabric and Leather Technologies (TFL), at the opening press conference of the Texprocess in Frankfurt. "The overbureaucratisation in Germany, such as the Posting of Workers Directive or the DSGVO, the threat of Brexit and the national tendencies in many European countries, but also the situation in Turkey, the trade dispute between the USA and China and the ever more severe trade sanctions set up by the USA - all this is bringing considerable unrest to the markets.

The industry looks forward to Texprocess, the leading trade fair for processing textile and flexible materials, taking place in Frankfurt from 14 to 17 May 2019. "Sales in the entire German Textile Care, Fabric and Leather Technologies sector rose by 5.7 percent in real terms yearon-year in the months from January to October 2018," explained Elgar Straub, Managing Director of VDMA Textile Care, Fabric and Leather Technologies, at Texprocess's international press conference in Frankfurt.

At Texprocess 2017, Zünd demonstrated how manufacturers involved in textile processing can integrate a high-performance Zünd digital cutter and create a seamless end-to-end digital production workflow. In clothing and in home textiles, consumer demand for more customization and personalization is growing steadily. This trend is shining a spotlight on the need for efficient, cost-effective short-run or even one-off production, which is causing a major shift in the textile industry. Manufacturers are looking to convert more and more of their production to all-digital processes.
Techtextil and Texprocess 2017: Visitor and exhibitor records
“Although we had extra personnel on our exhibition stand, visitors still had to queue on occasions. For us, the fair was fantastic”, said Dr Jan Zimmermann of Techtextil exhibitor Forster Rohner from Switzerland. Many of the 1,789 exhibitors of Techtextil and Texprocess had similar experiences. Over 47,500 visitors (an increase of around 14 percent, 2015: 41,826) from 114 countries made their way to Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre from 9 to 12 May, to discover the most innovative products in the field of technical textiles and the latest processing technologies.
Texprocess Innovation Award 2017 goes to four outstanding textile processing products
The Texprocess Innovation Awards were presented during today’s official opening ceremony of Texprocess 2017. Altogether, the expert jury chose four products for an award. They include a new technology for dyeing yarns and a digitalised sewing machine that is set up via a touchscreen or app.
Texprocess opens with increased exhibitor numbers once again
With 312 exhibitors from 36 countries (2015: 273 from 33 countries) and a growth rate of 14 %, Texprocess (9 to 12 May 2017) launches its biggest event ever. Held in parallel to Techtextil, Texprocess, the leading international trade fair for the processing of textile and flexible materials in Frankfurt am Main, will showcase, for the fourth time, all the stages of the value creation train in the textile industry, including design technologies, IT, the various processes and procedures for cutting, sewing, seaming, embroidering and knitting, as well as technologies for finishing, textile printing and logistics. And Texprocess will be offering additional stimulus for the sector with the first ever Digital Textile Micro Factory.
Techtextil and Texprocess present ‘Living in Space’ in cooperation with ESA and DLR

Examples of the parts and products in which they are to be found will be on show at the ‘Living in Space’ exhibition during this year’s Techtextil und Texprocess (9 to 12 May 2017), which has been organised by Messe Frankfurt in cooperation with the European Space Agency (ESA) and the German Aerospace Centre (DLR)
