British Exhibitors at Premiere Vision Paris (Designs) presented their design concepts for 2018/2019. Below you can find a brief presentation of each of them:
Grigor Dimitrov appeared in the presentation of the new collection of Dolce & Gabbana in Italy. He even took the role of a model during the final show of the popular brand during Milan Fashion Week.
For his second Couture collection presented at Westin hotel in Paris, Ziad Nakad offers his own vision of a universal garden where butterflies and flowers are the main symbols of his inspiration. Tradition and modernity combine to each silhouette giving the appearance of a sparkling bouquet of summer flowers.
A basket-ball court, cheerleaders, popcorn vendors, breakdancing mascots, the Harlem Globetrotters basketball team and infamous rapper Busta Rhymes all packed into a 3-D mapping experience set the pace for Philipp Plein’s sports-driven, unconventional and high-geared Spring/Summer 2017 men’s collection.
'I like the idea of a journey, like Marco Polo. I hate travelling but there are many ways to do it, whether in your mind, or in changing the tapestry of a chair, or through the pages of a book'.
The collection Floral Geometry, Couture Spring Summer 2015, by ALFREDO VILLALBA, merges the basic shapes of geometry, circles, squares and triangles, with the radiant shapes of floral symbolism. Dual and opposing concepts reflected in the texture and the raise of the fabrics, in the volumes of the models and in the colour range.
'There is no reference to the past - I'm trying to go to the future!' said world famous fashion designer Carolina Herrera about her Fall/Winter 2014 womenswear collection.
Carolina offers to ladies both daywear and eveningwear.
For days - volume with rounded shoulders on top (to emphasize a tiny waist), over slim skirts and pants in brown, navy and royal blue; for nights - prints in geometric patterns and rusty shades of blue, bronze and orange.
Valentino Haute Couture Collection Fall-Winter 2012/2013 was presented at Paris Fashion Week in July. Although the iconic fashion designer retired in 2008, the creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli have been maintaining the classic, high end Valentino style. The collection for Fall-Winter features a range of satin dresses, brocade jumpsuits, embroidered jackets and floor-length capes.
Shimmering fabrics, embroideries and beautiful prints, mainly with flowers and ornaments decorate the beautiful outfits.
