Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia - First day
27 March witnessed the opening of the 30th Anniversary Season of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia. It was the maestro of the Russian fashion, Vyacheslav Zaitsev, who traditionally was the first to present his new Fall-Winter collection 2015-2016 Nocturne. The first block of the show featured female demi season coats that became the signature garments of the Fashion House.
Principal core of the collection made the formal suits, slim fit jackets and straight dresses accomplished with massive accessories. There were silk wine-coloured skirts with mixed textures, combination of graphic and floral prints on the evening gowns, plenty of adornment - which still left the collection in harmony with the calm and compete colour palette and the choice of silhouettes. Little black dress with the asymmetric collar and bright insets performed in stained-glass technique was according to designer the major highlight of the collection. As for the male line - classic coats, straight-cut suits and shirts with prints made personally by hand of Vyacheslav Zaitsev took the catwalk.
The day was continued by the new-comer at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia, brand Kajf&Kajf which primarily works with garments of natural leather and which took the runway to show its Fall-Winter collection 2015-2016. Mixture of various textures like leather, suede, jersey - turn simple trapeze dressed and classic suits into unique pieces of capsule wardrobe. The line also featured capes, long jackets and thigh-high stockings boots and other accessories.
It was followed then by the Monochromatic collection by Maison SAS brand. Designer Anastasia Susekova built the collection on the clash of feminine dresses made of light fabrics with vaporous insets and exaggerated oversize-coats. The collection featured geometric silhouettes, straight lines and massive accessories. Major colours are white, grey and milky-white.
The collection Fall-Winter 2015-2016 was inspired by tropical birds. Designer of the brand Evgeniya Legkodymova maintained the typical philosophy of the brand - neat, laconic lines and clear silhouettes but added some peculiar elements like bright stitching and houndstooth clems. The model range included evening gowns and blouses with bright prints of parrots and toucans, baggy jersey pieces with faux fur on sweaters, jackets with shaped bottoms, coats with extensive collars, soft coats of plush fur, wool skirts with contrast pleats, massive fur scarves and cashmere suits with garnishing elements.
Alena Akhmadullina showed her collection Fall-Winter 2015-2016 which is performed strictly in line with the brand's vision. Forest as the major topic was embodied both in the decoration of the catwalk and in garments of the collection - prints on sweatshirts and dresses (foxes and birds, rabbits embroidered on clutches), -the designer kept track of the principal concept of the collection even in the smallest things. Baggy straight dresses of A-silhouette, multi-coloured satin caftans and, of course, fur which invariably goes from one fall-winter collection of the brand to another, this time was used in mosaic multi-coloured fur coats and fur insets on the sweatshirts. Colour palette - cold ashy shades with shots of red colour and metal glitter.
Oleg Ovsiev, designer of the brand VIVA VOX, took the catwalk with his new collection Fall-Winter 2015-2016, and presented multi-layered looks featuring such major garments of the collection as monochrome dresses decorated with small fancy rollers and scattered crystals. As for outwear garments collection included fur coats of straight cuts and capes, all kept in line with the general stylistics of the brand.
The first day of the 30th Season of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia was completed with the catwalk show from Yulia Prokhorova. BELOE ZOLOTO. Airy feminine dresses - slim-fit and pencil silhouettes, A-like shapes, large sleeves and multi-layered underskirts took the runway. The red rose became the symbol of the collection, it highlighted various garments which were manually embroidered with scarlet-red roses made of felted cloth. Collection featured such fabrics as scarlet-red jacquard silk, chiffon, and freezy-white bouclé jersey.
