The Italian Accessories Designers to Discover at Scoop
The Italian Accessories Designers to Discover at Scoop
Following the announcement of Scoop’s landmark partnership with ITA – Italian Trade Agency, the Trade Promotion Section of the Italian Embassy in London, attention now turns to an exceptional collective of Italian accessories designers supported by ITA to debut at the show this July.
Representing one of the most significant international collaborations in Scoop’s history, the partnership highlights the strategic role of ITA – Italian Trade Agency in fostering new commercial opportunities for Italian companies abroad. Many of the participating collections have never previously exhibited at Scoop or within the UK, offering buyers a unique opportunity to discover fresh perspectives in accessories design.
At the heart of the showcase is a collective of designers whose stories are as compelling as the collections themselves. Many remain family-owned businesses, with knowledge and techniques passed down through generations, preserving the traditions of Italian craftsmanship while continually evolving for a contemporary audience.
Among the jewellery designers, Angela Caputi Giuggiu brings a distinctive artistic perspective shaped by more than five decades of creativity. Celebrating 50 years in business, the Florentine designer is renowned for her bold use of colour, sculptural forms and unmistakable aesthetic, creating jewellery that balances timeless elegance with contemporary expression. Drawing inspiration from everyday life, art and the rich cultural heritage of Florence, her collections continue to resonate with women seeking individuality and character in their accessories.

Equally rich in heritage is Ornella Bijoux, whose remarkable story began in 1944 during the Second World War. Founded by Ornella Albani and later developed alongside her daughter Maria Vittoria, the collection has remained rooted in family creativity for more than eight decades. Over the years, Ornella’s distinctive jewellery has accompanied some of fashion’s most celebrated names, while an extraordinary archive of more than 30,000 original designs continues to inspire the collection today. A testament to resilience, artistry and enduring craftsmanship, Ornella Bijoux represents the very essence of Italian creative heritage.

Luxury Italian accessories are equally prominent throughout the showcase, highlighting the craftsmanship, heritage and artisanal expertise that continue to define contemporary Italian design. Hibourama offers a contemporary and fashion-forward perspective, where intricate detailing and striking silhouettes create accessories designed to stand out. Polina Firenze brings a refined expression of Italian luxury, combining timeless elegance with meticulous craftsmanship to create sophisticated handbags that celebrate both artistry and functionality. Carbotti presents refined handbag collections rooted in artisanal production and timeless elegance, while Ripani brings almost six decades of Italian craftsmanship to Scoop.

Founded in 1967, Ripani combines artisanal expertise with contemporary design, creating handbags that embody what the designer describes as "everyday luxury". Still family-led today, the collection balances exceptional material quality and attention to detail with a strong commitment to sustainability and responsible production. Ripani’s dedication to preserving Italian craftsmanship is further reflected in its historical archive, which celebrates more than two centuries of leatherworking tradition and design.
The footwear selection highlights the breadth and diversity of contemporary Italian shoemaking. Acanto, Fiorentini + Baker, Lorenzo Masiero and Sayyou each bring their own distinctive perspective, ranging from refined everyday elegance to handcrafted designs rooted in generations of expertise. Together, they demonstrate the enduring influence of Italy’s footwear heritage while embracing a modern approach to design and wearability.

Completing the showcase is Pasotti, the iconic umbrella maker celebrated for transforming a practical accessory into an object of artistry. Renowned for its exceptional attention to detail and imaginative craftsmanship, the collection perfectly captures the creativity and originality that underpin the wider Italian edit.

Karen Radley, Founder and Creative Director of Scoop, comments: "This partnership with ICE marks a significant moment for Scoop and reflects our ongoing commitment to discovering and championing exceptional international design. What makes this showcase particularly exciting is the authenticity behind the collections. Many of the designers are family-owned businesses with generations of artisanal expertise and a deep commitment to preserving traditional craftsmanship, while continuing to evolve for a contemporary customer.
"The accessories edit brings together an incredible breadth of talent, from jewellery and handbags to footwear and handcrafted accessories, offering buyers something truly distinctive and entirely new to the UK market. Beyond the collections themselves, there are remarkable stories of creativity, heritage and entrepreneurship behind these designers, making this one of the most exciting international showcases we have ever presented."
Together, these designers form a compelling celebration of Italian creativity, craftsmanship and innovation. Their presence at Scoop reinforces the show’s position as a destination for international discovery while creating valuable opportunities for British retailers to connect with exceptional collections that combine heritage, authenticity and contemporary appeal.
As the July edition approaches, this carefully curated accessories showcase offers more than beautifully crafted collections; it is a celebration of the people, stories and traditions that continue to define Italian design. Through its partnership with ICE, Scoop once again creates a platform where craftsmanship, creativity and cultural exchange come together, offering buyers an inspiring journey into the very best of contemporary Made in Italy design.
