MANGO Kids changes direction in the Autumn/Winter 2015 season
GIRL
The elegance of Parisian urban chic comes to the MANGO Kids collection for girls. The 60s look appears in perfect jackets, trench coats and reversible sleeveless jackets, combined with graphic t-shirts, striped sweaters and high-rise jeans.
Renewed classics are key to the back-to-school collection. Outfits in which outer garments such as jackets, husky sleeveless jackets, shirts and college blousons are combined with flared skirts that are both stylish and comfortable for day-to-day activities. The palette of colours consists of white, sky blue and navy tones with touches of dusty pink to give them a cool appearance.
70s style also appears in the offerings for little ones. Wilder and more natural outfits with hippie-inspired pieces accompany the richness of knitwear. Ponchos with tassels and "ikat" cardigans appear alongside bell-bottom trousers, corduroy skirts and blousons with “fretwork" prints.
For those special occasions, MANGO Kids has reserved suede jackets, fur sleeveless jackets and tulle skirts. Princess dresses, embroidered details, sequins and cascading precious stone applications complete the more sophisticated outfits.
BOY
The offering for boys has a “retro-sport” air. More urban, contemporary and cool outfits are achieved with a combination of two-tone anoraks, check shirts, coloured jeans, denim jackets and positional t-shirts in casual classics with a vintage air.
Similarly, the back-to-school designs feature the outer garment as the key to the collection. Fleece-lined anoraks, jackets and quilted sleeveless jackets make up the more classic look that has been updated for this season. In addition, casual trousers and chino-style jeans are combined with shirts with Italian or Mandarin collars. Knitwear also features in the back-to-school line, in addition to polo shirts and braided sweaters. As for the palette of colours, the colours that appear most in this part of the collection are white, sky blue and navy with touches of crimson inherent to college style.
The winter season also gets underway with a bolder and more adventurous air in the designs dedicated to the 70s. A nod to the more liberal era is provided by fur hoods, reversible jackets and sheepskin-lined denim jackets. All this combined with flannel check shirts with corduroy details at the collars and elbows and with printed t-shirts featuring photographs or texts from the period. The principal palette of colours in this part of the collection is made up of earth tones inspired by mountain landscapes: ochre, mustard and chocolate tones with touches of ink blue.
