Sales in the men’s wear industry will stay strong

The recent personnel shifts at prominent men’s wear brands made some people worry about the menswear industry and especially the men's suit. However, experts report that the overall sales in the men’s wear industry will stay strong.

In my opinion the formal suit will never be out of fashion and the changes we see in big brands are due to the fact that their share in this market goes to the tailors and independent designers who offer made-to-measure and bespoke suits.

Different media suggest that the changes are due to a shift in consumer habits to casualization. But politicians, lawyers and bankers will never stop wearing suits. In fact rather that buying ready-to-wear suits they will start wearing custom made suits that fit them. Do you agree?
