Bulgarian Gowns Shone at the Cannes and Venice Festivals

Lora Lilova, owner and creative director of the Bulgarian formalwear brand LORRETI, received official accreditation from the Cannes Film Academy and joined the guests at the most prestigious premieres during the Cannes and Venice film festivals.

The 26-year-old designer personally presented two of her standout designer gowns at the prestigious event, while over 50 of her designs were worn on the red carpets by clients of her brand.

This marks Lilova’s second personal breakthrough — the first three red carpets she walked in her own designs were in autumn 2024 at the prestigious Venice Film Festival, alongside Monica Bellucci and Lady Gaga. Her creations are also chosen for red carpets by numerous internationally renowned figures, including Miss France.

In addition to her personal presence on the red carpets, her brand was also featured in two exclusive showrooms during this year's festival — both located at the most iconic and sought-after venues in Cannes. This strategic approach brought Lora Lilova a significant influx of clients at the peak of the film festival.

Visits to the showrooms secured the designer clients from all over the world, key connections, numerous sales, deals, and new business partnerships.

The showrooms were visited by stylists, fashion editors, and influential figures from the film industry who showed great interest in her products.

Over the past two years, Lora Lilova has worked with a number of internationally known names from the global film and fashion scene, dressing some of the most influential women in the industry for their special occasions, red carpet appearances, photo shoots, and film premieres.

Cannes 2025 marks her first appearance as an accredited designer and brand owner with a real presence at the highest international level.

Lora Lilova began her professional journey as a teenager in Ruse, where her brand for formal dresses and occasion wear was born. It quickly gained popularity among young women looking for an individual style for their prom or wedding. Lora continued her education at the National Academy of Arts, majoring in “Fashion,” and due to her high achievements, she received the opportunity to debut her collections at the most prestigious fashion events in Bulgaria.

In the past two years, the brand has made significant strides in foreign markets, attracting attention from international clients, influential figures, and public personalities. The young designer excels in creating viral designs. The combination of strong marketing and a quality product is part of the secret to her success.

Recognition from the Cannes and Venice festivals comes after years of hard work and the growing presence of the brand in international fashion.
