Moet Hennessy Reaffirms Global Partnership with Annual amfAR Gala Hong Kong

Moet Hennessy has reaffirmed its commitment as the Official Wine and Spirits Partner of amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, celebrating the third annual amfAR Gala Hong Kong last night at Shaw Studios with over 600 prestigious guests.

The black-tie evening began with a cocktail reception featuring Moet & Chandon Imperial Champagne served from magnums as well as Belvedere Vodka's Grapefruit Spritz, the featured cocktail. A dinner, live auction, musical performances and After Party followed.

Showing additional support for amfAR, Moet & Chandon offered, for the first time ever in Asia Pacific, the opportunity for a guest to purchase their very own Moet & Chandon vending machine, which holds 315 mini bottles of Moet & Chandon. The vending machine sold during the live auction at $80,000 USD to the lucky winning bidder, making him the coolest person EVER.

The mini-Moet vending machine was originally designed as a promotional item for Selfridge's department store in London. News of the Moet vending machine went so viral that demand exploded. It has made select appearances – always creating huge buzz – at prestigious events including the Golden Globes after party and amfAR events around the world.

In addition to these unique and rare items donated to support amfAR’s work around the globe, Moet Hennessy also served Moet & Chandon Champagne, Belvedere Vodka, Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilege, Glenmorangie The Original, Boroli Barolo DOCG 2011 and Boroli Bel Ami Langhe Chardonnay DOC 2014 to accompany the dinner.

In total, thanks in part to Moet Hennessy’s support, the gala raised more than $3.5 million USD for amfAR.
