St James's played host to a series of fashion shows as Jermyn Street
As the capital plays host to London Fashion Week Men’s St James’s will be at the heart of the celebration of elegance, creativity and style as Jermyn Street is transformed into an open-air catwalk for the day.
The event, a fixture on the fashion calendar, will give visitors a taste of the London Fashion Week Men’s buzz with a see-now-buy-now runway shows, allowing guests to purchase Spring/Summer 2019 looks straight from the catwalk show in stores across St James’s. Stylish Londoners are invited to share the front row with the world’s fashion leaders, media and influencers for a one of a kind shows during London Fashion Week Men’s, as St James’s will be giving away over 700 tickets to the public.
Caroline Rush CBE, Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council commented: “We are delighted to see the St James’ show take place for the 5th consecutive summer season in St James’s. Jermyn Street is home to a wide variation of British and international brands from heritage tailoring labels to contemporary design and innovative sportswear. It is a dynamic hub for menswear and a key moment of the LFWM schedule where the public can get involved to celebrate the best of fashion and of what our city has to offer.”
Catherine commented "I’m thrilled to be styling the St James’s LFWM show this season. London is a major player on the international fashion scene and St James’s home to some of the capitals best kept style secrets. Where else can you find such illustrious yet diverse names in the same neighbourhood – John Smedley knitwear and Sunspel T’s next to Lock & Co hatters; Budd and Turnbull & Asser shirts next to Longmire cufflinks and Cubitts sunglasses; Tricker’s, Lobb and Grenson footwear beside New & Lingwood gowns, Floris perfumes and the best Welsh rarebit in town at Fortnum and Mason. It’s an eclectic mix but a seductive one and the perfect antidote to the fast-online shopping experience.”
As well as experiencing the runway shows, visitors to Jermyn Street will be able to drop into the restaurants and retailers of St James’s for a variety of special activities and exclusive offers; complimentary drinks and 15% discount in-store at Sunspel; a stylish gift with every purchase at Trickers; a free glass of bubbles with every St James’s Afternoon Tea booked at The Stafford. Local restaurants will also be celebrating LFWM with happy hour specials and exclusive menus.
Jermyn Street will also play host to some of London’s best street food venders, all offering a bespoke St James’s menu, making sure the day will be a feast for the taste buds as well as the eyes.
What better way to celebrate London Fashion Week Men's than in the original home of menswear with a one-of-a-kind open air catwalk display of unique and covetable collections, street food and live music.
