As shoppers were feasting in the highly anticipated Lanvin for H&M launch yesterday, another well-known chain appears to have caught on to the raging success of the designer/high street collaboration.
Yesterday Gap unveiled an exclusive seven-piece capsule collection designed by Italian fashion house Valentino, which was launched to celebrate the opening of Gap's first Italian store last week in Milan and will arrive at Gap in London on November 27.
The collection includes a short ruffle jacket, £119.95, skirt, £69.95 (left), cargo pants, £99.95 and parka, £149.95 (right)
Valentino creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli have created seven pieces for women , to celebrate Gap’s arrival in Italy. “We are very pleased that Gap thought of us as a partner for this project,” Chiuri and Piccioli explain. “Valentino and Gap synthesise the current trend of combining luxury with basics. We wanted to mix traditionally high-end elements with Gap’s celebrated street style, to create couture looks with a contemporary attitude.”
