Givenchy for Spring/Summer 2014
Givenchy presented their Spring/Summer 2014 collection during the Paris Fashion Week.
Riccardo Tisci, the house’s creative director, chose to take a step back: no more sweatshirts or bomber jackets, hip hop t-shirt or stars and floral patterns, all Givenchy’s past hits. For next spring Tisci focused on the concepts of urban style and sensuality.
The lenghts are ranging from below the knee to ankle length.
The colors are: black, brown, navy blue, orange, yellow, white, red and olive green.
The used materials are jersey, leather, napa, sequins, crystals, feathers, cotton, wool, tulle, georgette.
The shapes are usually two contrasting silhouette: a geometric shape with oversized kimono jackets an men’s pants, playing with layering, and a fluid one, with draped garments that conjure up images of African traditional dresses.
The accessories which belong to summer 2014 are priest sandals with Plexiglas straps, napa leather and crystals. Small fold-over or geometric clutches. Masks made with Swarovski crystals and tulle.
