FungalFibers – Leggings at Techtextil 2026 in Frankfurt, Germany

This project focuses on the development of a new process chain for fully bio-based and vegan textiles made from chitosan fibres. Chitosan is derived from chitin, one of the most abundant natural substances, sourced from shellfish waste, insects, or fungal biomass. The project aims to provide sustainable alternatives for the textile industry while reducing dependence on limited natural resources.
