Two McQueen’s dresses to be sold at auction

Two McQueens dresses to be sold at auction Two of the dresses from Alexander McQueen’s fall/winter 2007 collection, which was inspired by the Salem Witch Trials of 1692 are to be sold at auction in London.

The two evening gowns are among the first to be sold at auction since the tragic suicide of the British designer in February.

The auction, organized by the auction house Bonhams expects earnings of more than £30,000.

Both dresses are from one of McQueen’s most dramatic and sexiest gowns, which was staged during the Paris fashion shows in February 2007. The designer dedicated the show to Elizabeth How, who was one of the Salem witches.

The dresses will be auctioned on June 30th in London.
