Helen Oro will present her latest collection at Couture Fashion Week
Talented emerging Canadian designer Helen Oro will present her latest collection at Couture Fashion Week at 4:00 pm on Friday September 5, 2014 at the Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan, 1605 Broadway, in the heart of the Big Apple.
Helen Oro is a Plains Cree from Pelican Lake First Nation in Canada. She is the Canadian Regional Director/Beauty and Fashion Director of Native Max Magazine. Ms. Oro is also the creative force and mastermind behind Helen Oro Designs. Her unique design vision is expressed in one-of-a-kind intricately beaded shades, footwear and accessories. Ms. Oro has presented her designs at a number of fashion shows, including Native Max Magazine's Native Fashion in the City, MTF Project's 1st Annual All Native Fashion, Art and Entertainment Event, and Independent Dogface Night of Cabaret. Her designs have been featured in Native Max Magazine, as well as in publications in her region, and are available at the Centre Mall in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.
“I’ve always had an eye for new and flashy designs that I bring out through my beadwork,”says Helen Oro. “I am inspired every day by my children to push myself to the next level. I want to show them that with hard work and determination you can go as far as you let yourself go, learning and growing from every experience, good or bad.”
