‘The Status of European Fashion’ conference of the European Fashion Alliance shaped the future of European fashion
On March 5th, the European Fashion Alliance (EFA) held its first conference ‘The Status of European Fashion’, in Brussels, Belgium. The event brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders who discussed crucial topics shaping the future of European fashion. In preparation for the conference, EFA conducted a comprehensive Europe-wide survey on the impending sustainability legislation affecting the fashion industry, which results and recommendations will be published until end of April. The survey aimed to assess the current state of the European fashion landscape and identify significant challenges and opportunities in anticipation of impending regulatory changes. First learnings were presented to the audience.

On 21 & 22 September 2020 took place the First Steering Committee of FASCINATE - Sustainable Fashion Alliance for International Markets in the framework of the Clusters Going International (ESCP-4i) Programme. The partners met online to discuss the future initiatives, which they will organize in the next 18 months.

Gallery FASHION and Gallery SHOES - 30 August - 01 September 2020
German kick-off for the European fashion and shoe industry in the end of August. Gallery FASHION and Gallery SHOES, together with their accompanying five-day SHOWROOM CONCEPT coinciding with Supreme Düsseldorf from 28 August 2020, will be offering the first opportunity for the sector to get together in Germany from 30 August until 1 September 2020.
Becker Tuche from Aachen is the winner of Innovation Award presented by MUNICH FABRIC START
The winner of this year’s Innovation Award presented by MUNICH FABRIC START is Becker Tuche from Aachen. The company received the award for a new product development combining wool and Cordura with spandex – super lightweight and highly functional. The woven fabric features high abrasion resistance despite its low weight as well as very high water vapour permeability. Preferred areas of application are light outdoor styles as well as streetwear and corporate fashion.
Strong Demonstration of a future-oriented textile community at Munich Fabric Start
For three days MUNICH FABRIC START was the centre of the textile and clothing industry. Just over 20,000 visitors – designers, product managers and buyers of international brands and companies - came to Munich. The event also reached the record level of 1,050 exhibitors. Overall, the organisers can look back on a constant result based on last year’s comparable figures.
David Hart Spring 2018 collection
Menswear designer David Hart kindly took us on a colorful trip to Cuba with his oh-so-cool collection for Spring 2018. It’s no big secret that we at Ponyboy are big David Hart fans and can never get enough of his terrific vintage inspired clothing. This season we saw beautifully cut linen suits in a great color palette, including mint, salmon and coral. The boldly striped blazer was a fabulous piece, as well as the banana print shirts.
Munich Apparel Source enters its second round
The decision has been taken. The next MUNICH APPAREL SOURCE will be held from 5 to 7 September 2018 – as an integrated event of MUNICH FABRIC START and directly connected to the MOC.

The MUNICH FABRIC START from 5 to 7 September 2017 that has just drawn to a close was a very special one, according to the organizers. And it was very special for me too, as I was there for the first time after being at other fairs in Italy, France and Germany. I saw numerous innovations, developments and optimisations used to visualise ideas giving the sector a platform for creativity and technical developments. In Munich the future is real and technology the key to a broad-based textiles and fashion industry brimming with dynamism that is both tangible and perceivable.
