On March 16th took place online the Opening Conference for the FASCINATE project and the workshop “A new era for EU fashion brands - Embracing digitalization & Sustainability”, organised in the framework of the ESCP-4i - European Cluster Collaboration Platform.
The days of thrift stores being connotated with musty old tee shirts are over. Resale culture has been deemed the “new sustainability” as consumers shift mindsets surrounding luxury goods and fashion. This mindset shift has widespread economic and environmental benefits, as resale of luxury designer goods benefits both the environment, the consigner, and the consignee.
The European textiles and clothing sector cares about circularity of its products. The industry is re-inventing itself to offer solutions that are workable and make a sustainable impact.
Next summer, whether you plan to sun-bathe by the pool, swim in the ocean, or jog along palm-trees boulevards, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t do it sustainably, starting from what you wear.
