Great France-Japan Innovation Forum
With the France Japan Innovation Year coming to an end, a delegation of French companies from the textile sector will be in Japan from 5 to 8 December 2016. They will take part in the Great France- Japan Innovation Forum held by the Embassy of France in Japan.
Six innovative SMEs will visit industrialists, universities, R&D centres from the textiles and flexible materials sector to develop ties with Japanese partners.
TECHTERA will join the mission to advise its members and share information with them. The General Manager of TECHTERA Corinne FARACE will present the cluster in detail, and will share knowledge on 2 important themes: factories for the future and the silk sector.
During this week, the French-Japanese working group on textiles will gather for the fourth time as part of the France-Japan industrial cooperation committee. This meeting will not only be the occasion for summing up action undertaken during the few last years and analysing their results, but will also be an impetus for action in the coming years.
TECHTERA is the innovation cluster dedicated to textiles and flexible materials of the AUVERGNERH?NE-ALPES Region, French leader in the technical textiles field. The cluster supports its 125 members – companies, research laboratories, technical centres, universities – in the emergence, structuration and implementation of their collaborative R&D projects. Since its creation in 2005, TECHTERA has approved 182 innovative R&D projects that received funding. They represent a global R&D budget of 495 million euros. These projects are under development or, for some of them, finalised with an innovation already available on the application markets of the technical textiles field: furnishing, clothing, buildings, industry, health, individual protection, transport, etc.
