The 2018 CFDA Fashion Awards nominees & honorees are in
Raf Simons, Virgil Abloh, and Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen lead in the number of nominations for the 2018 CFDA Fashion Awards in partnership with Swarovski. Each received two nominations this year: Simons and Abloh for Womenswear and Menswear Designer of the Year for Calvin Klein and Off-White respectively, and the Olsens for Womenswear and Accessory Designer of the Year for The Row.
The complete list of nominees for the Womenswear Designer of the Year are Raf Simons for Calvin Klein, Gabriela Hearst, Marc Jacobs, Virgil Abloh for Off-White, and Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen for The Row.
Raf Simons
The Menswear Designer of the Year nominees are Raf Simons for Calvin Klein, Virgil Abloh for Off-White, James Jebbia for Supreme, Thom Browne, and Tom Ford.
For Accessory Designer of the Year, they are Paul Andrew, Stuart Vevers for Coach, Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel for Mansur Gavriel, Irene Neuwirth, and Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen for The Row.
Virgil Abloh
Mike Amiri for Amiri, Laura Vassar Brock and Kristopher Brock for Brock Collection, Aurora James for Brother Vellies, Kerby Jean-Raymond for Pyer Moss, and Sander Lak for Sies Marjan have been nominated for the Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent.
The Swarovski Award for Positive Change will be presented to Diane von Furstenberg for her role in women’s empowerment.
Thom Browne
The Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award will go to Narciso Rodriguez, who is marking 20 years in business this year, while the Founder’s Award in honor of Eleanor Lambert will be given to Carolina Herrera. Herrera relinquished her design duties last month and now serves as the eponymous label’s global brand ambassador.
The International Award will be presented to Donatella Versace, and the Media Award in honor of Eugenia Sheppard will go to Edward Enninful, Editor-in-Chief of British Vogue.
Candice Huffine, Martha Hunt, Young Paris, Todd Snyder, Irene Neuwirth, and Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia of Monse unveiled the nominees and honorees via digital posts @cfda on Instagram on Thursday.
“The 2018 CFDA Fashion Awards continue to honor those who have led the American fashion industry, and this year, we welcome designers who approach fashion in new ways,” said Steven Kolb, President and CEO of the CFDA.

The 2018 CFDA Fashion Awards, in partnership with Swarovski for the 17th year, will be held on June 4th and hosted by Issa Rae at the Brooklyn Museum.
