MOMAD Metropolis in September 2018

MOMAD Metropolis - the International Fashion Trade Show is moving ahead swiftly as regards content for its 6th edition, which takes place from 7 to 9 September at IFEMA - Feria de Madrid, concurrently with

MOMAD Shoes, the International Footwear Trade Show.

The event is organised by IFEMA and it already has 90 per cent of its capacity spoken for, which means that signings are at a more advanced state than at the same period in previous editions - promising great trade prospects.

MOMAD Metropolis constitutes the major exponent of the Fashion and Clothing sector on the Iberian Peninsula, making it an obligatory rendez-vous for professionals eager to know which trends will dominate the Spring/Summer 2019 season and the off-the-peg styles for Autumn/Winter 2018/2019. Halls 2, 12 and 14 of Feria de Madrid will host the next edition of this event, which as of today has clocked up the confirmed participation of almost 750 brands, making for a full and mixed show, notable for the wide variety on offer in all styles.

The offering at MOMAD METROPOLIS is categorised according to the type of product, ranging from party wear to urban, casual, contemporary and swimwear, right up to high-end names in Espacio Metro. Menswear and Accessories also feature, as well as Large Sizes.

Top brands at this edition include Hannibal Laguna, Veneno en la Piel, Javier Simorra, Airfield, Marea Baja, Charo Azcona, Pepaloves, Swim Days Moda Bano, The Extreme Collection, Scripta, Zanetti, Slow Fashion Next, NKN Nekane, Blue Les Copains, French Connection, Parafina, Maltessa, Meisie, Brave Soul, Van Dos, Victoria, Kontessa, Lion of Porches, Lauren Vidal, Mele Beach, Yaya, Stella rittwagen, grupo DK Company, Mercedes Escola, Fyord, Alba Conde, Oky, Almatrichi, Tiffosi, Viriato, Ana Pallar?s, Vidorreta, BSB Jeans, Maria Jose Su?rez, Tiempo de Costura, Canadian Peak, Koala Bay, CLP Celop, and SPG Jenuan.

In a similar vein, MOMAD Metropolis, as has become customary in recent years, will again host the area dedicated to Sustainable Fashion, called Sustainable Experience, where only companies whose collections are made according to sustainable guidelines can participate. 40 national and international companies in different markets - clothing, footwear, costume jewelery, leather goods, swimwear, spectacles, watches and associated industries - have already confirmed their attendance in this zone which covers a net area of over 500 square metres.

MOMAD Metropolis will include a 4.0 area with digital solutions for the fashion industry in the face of the transformation that the sector is experiencing. This section, in collaboration with Adigital, the Digital Economy Association, will provide a venue for all the players involved in this process and allow professional visitors to discover new 4.0 solutions to generate greater value and innovation at the point of sale, bringing them the tools they need to stay competitive. There will also be specific talks on this subject.

Highlights of the parallel activities include fashion shows on the MOMAD catwalk where a selection of firms will be exhibiting their collections, and a programme of talks and presentations taking place in the MOMAD forum, the information and training zone of the fair.
