Global Talents Digital is looking for sustainable emerging designers from all over the world

Global Talents Digital is announcing a new call out for sustainable emerging designers, inviting them to show their new collections for clients, the press, buyers, celebrity stylists, and industry leaders – by means of video presentations/live streams/AR/VR. The brand-new edition of Global Talents Digital is inspired by sustainability and aims to educate and inspire the world with it. Designers should be focused on one or more directions like upcycling, recycling, ethical fashion, slow fashion, or zero waste. The sustainable edition of Global Talents Digital will take place on September 4 to 6, 2020. The online application is open through August 7, 2020 at globaltalents.digital/en/home. All entries will be reviewed by the Global Talents Digital Board.

The first edition of Global Talents Digital, the first hybrid international fashion event held by Fashion Futurum Initiative with support of Russian Fashion Council took place in June. In Facebook, VK, and Instagram alone publications and streams from Global Talents Digital were viewed 2.5 mln times. For two days the world got to know about 50 fashion industry’s emerging names. From South Africa and Japan to the United States and Australia — designers from all over the world found their meeting point, which turned to be Global Talents Digital streamed from Moscow. Global Talents Digital was covered by 100+ fashion web-sites and magazines worldwide, including Vogue Italia, Vogue Russia, Harper’s Bazaar Russia, Elle China, Elle Portugal, L'Officiel Italia, L’Officiel Arabia, L’Offciel Baltics, L’Officiel Lithuania, Forbes US, Forbes France, Hypebeast, etc. In June 2020, the digital event was streamed at 100 web-sites around the globe, reaching potential audience of 640 thousand in 2 days.

Now, Global Talents Digital is looking for emerging designers from all over the world to apply for free-of-charge participation in Global Talents Digital. Eligible designers should operate for 5 years max.; present a premier collection; if selected for participation, be ready to prepare and showcase a collection in the form of video presentation/livestream, optionally with AR/VR features.

Global Talents Digital is an off-season international project by Fashion Futurum Initiative powered by Russian Fashion Council and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia.

The goal of the virtual Global Talents Digital in September is to acquaint the audience and industry players with new sustainable designers, as well as present necessary basic information about sustainability that has every chance of making this planet a better place,” – Alexander Shumsky, President of Russian Fashion Council and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia.

The first edition of Global Talents Digital held on June 10 to 11 combined new cutting-edge fashion collections, digital art and virtual influencers in one event. Global Talents Digital blurred the lines between actual fashion and virtual world, using the advantages of both. Some real collections were presented by virtual models. Some virtual influencers presented their own digital fashion capsules along with real designers. Global Talents Digital featured AR and ‘see now, buy now’ option, making the streaming event an interactive one. In total, 50 participants from 20 countries took part and were followed from 40 countries.
