The event took place in Marrakech from 31 May to 2 June 2023 and aimed to facilitate business connections, enhance knowledge sharing and promote innovative collaborations in the following sectors: Agri-food & Cosmetics; Textiles; ICT; CleanTech & Renewable energy.

The new EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles sets out the vision and concrete actions to ensure that by 2030 textile products placed on the European market are long-lived and recyclable, made as much as possible of recycled fibres, free of hazardous substances and produced in respect of social rights and the environment.

On 27th May 2021, the EU COSME project CirCoAX by CircularInnoBooster will be presented at the conference “Circular Economy: sustainability and new jobs for the textile industry”. This is a Partner Event at The Green Week #EUGreenWeek - Europe’s largest annual environmental policy conference. This year it will be held from May 31 to June 4, under the main theme of “Zero Pollution”.
GALACTICA, which aims to demonstrate the viability of new industrial value chains regarding the textile and aerospace sectors based on advanced manufacturing across the EU, launched the first Call for proposals, with a total budget of 1.2 M€ to support European SMEs. The 7th EURATEX Convention, organized on 24 October in Ontinyent (Valencia, Spain) by the Consejo Intertextil Espanol (CIE), gathered over 200 participants from the textile and apparel sector, as well as prominent figures from regional and national representations. Hosted for the first time in Spain, the event was an opportunity to exchange views and present approaches for regional collaboration, to encourage the development and modernization of the fashion and textile industries.

Youth unemployment is at critical levels - in the EU 23.3 percent (5.5 million) of those under the age of 25 are jobless, according to EU figures.

There are several ways the money can be spent to fight youth unemployment. But what I believe will be the best option is to support entrepreneurship among the unemployed young people.

The review was specially prepared for the official opening of the first sophisticated optic in Bulgaria. Among the models that presented the glasses were Miss Bulgaria 2011 Vanya Peneva and Eva Kikerezova. They were wearing garments of the designer Veselka Krachunova from VHK Fashion.
Markam Fashion presented the new Autumn/Winter 2009/10 collection in Tokyo, during the fashion design program WEAREUROPE. The European commission and the Delegation of the European commission in Japan organized the event. Among other 35 companies from EU, Markam was chosen to demonstrate the European fashion trends for the upcoming season.
Mrs. Helene Retsinis Stalsbo, Attaché Trade Section to the Delegation of the European Commission to Japan and Mr. Bernard Cendron, President of K.K.BCIL Japon, who visited the booth of Markam, underlined that the Bulgarian brand has a very good chance as a part of the European fashion, which is respected very much by the Japanese consumers. The most important advantage though is the indisputable quality of the product, the unique design, as well as the use of Italian and French textile.
