Last night (September 30, 2015) was the second evening of the fashion show in Ruse, during which was held a press conference 'Ruse - a pearl of the world fashion's necklace'. It was followed by a review-spectacle, combining fashion and Bulgarian folklore dances, presented by dance formation RICHMART. Dancers were dressed in men's suit jackets, decorated with traditional Bulgarian embroidery (shevitza), designed by Rayna Gancheva and Tsvetomir Petkov.
We are happy and proud to announce that the campaign, organized by Richmart, folklore ensemble 'Bulgare', Fashion.bg and Be Global Fashion Network, which aim is many people worldwide to start talking about Bulgaria and Bulgarian dances, is getting very popular and is supported by many Bulgarians and foreigners from Spain, Canada, England, Germany, France, Belgium, Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Italy, Slovenia, Poland, the USA and even from the Bulgarian team in Antarctica!
The Bulgarian folklore dances are unique with their asymmetrical meters, combining 'quick' and 'slow' beats. The traditional Bulgarian music is often described using 'compound meter notation, where the notational meter accents, i.e., the heard beats, can be of different lengths, usually 1, 2, 3, or 4'.
Be Global Fashion Network announces a global research of the street fashion. The campaign will start on May 24, 2015, when Bulgarians and foreigners in Bulgaria and abroad, will dance traditional Bulgarian folklore dances in contemporary clothing to show the actual apparel, worn on the street.
