ELIIT Project - the first 15 selected partnerships are announced

The ELIIT Project announced its first 15 selected partnerships between textile, clothing, leather and footwear sectors (TCLF) and technology owners/providers. The selected partnerships have received an outstanding evaluation from the 93 proposals submitted to the first ELIIT call for proposals, which closed on 31 March 2020.

These partnerships cover the following countries participating in the EU’s COSME programme for small and medium-sized enterprises: Austria, Czechia, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia and Spain. The projects will enhance TCLF SMEs’ competitiveness while helping them integrate new technologies in innovative or high added-value products, processes or services.

The work of these partnerships will cover 4 innovation priorities: Advanced digitised manufacturing, value chains and business models; Smart, high-performance materials; Circular economy and resource efficiency; High value-added solutions for attractive growth markets.

Eliit winners

Each partnership will benefit from €70,000 in financial support to develop products or prototypes with high added-value and profitability, tailor-made coaching and advice to improve project relevancy and increase capabilities, networking activities and participation in workshops/conferences and exhibitions to aid market-positioning as well as build business relationships and intellectual property rights organisation and guidance.

The ELIIT Consortium, together with the ELIIT steering board, the Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs as well as the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME), reviewed the shortlisted partnership proposals. The selection of partnerships was made based on well-developed and transparent criteria, ensuring the right balance of geographic, technological and sectoral diversity.

Advanced digitised manufacturing, value chains and business models

FAN-MODE - Quality step-up in FANcy yarns manufacturing by predictive MODEIs, covering technology innovation in textile & clothing. The partnership leader is the TCLF SME Pecci Filati S.p.A (Italy) and the partner is the technology provider/owner DatenBerg GmbH (Germany).

PRIMULA - print me unique labels, covering technology innovation in textile & clothing. The partnership leader is the technology provider/owner Profactor GmbH (Austria) and the partner is the TCLF SME ENHANCED INKJET s.r.o. (Slovakia). 

FMK - Feel More Knitwear, covering technology innovation in textile & clothing. The partnership leader is the TCLF SME S. FRAGOS & SIA EE (Greece) and the partner is the technology provider/owner Blautic Designs, SL (Spain). 

STYLE 2 GARMENT - Platform for European fashion Microfactories, covering technology innovation in textile & clothing. The partnership leader is the TCLF SME Mitwill Textiles Europe SARL (France) and the partner is the technology provider/owner Hochschule Albstadt-Sigmaringen (Germany). 

EMBROIDER-POWER - Embroidered electrodes for high-performance redox flow batteries, covering technology innovation in textile & clothing. The partnership leader is the technology provider/owner Universität Innsbruck (Austria) and the partner is the TCLF SME Texible GmbH (Austria). 

WEARLUM + - Tech Transfer of non-invasive monitoring WEARLUMB prototype to detect early risks and postural problems to market, covering technology innovation in textile & clothing. The partnership leader is the technology provider/owner Fundació Eurecat (Spain) and the partner is the TCLF SME SENSING TEX, S.L. (Spain). 

Smart, high-performance materials

NANOCORK20 - Nanonebulisation cork & cork suede, covering technology innovation in textile & clothing. The partnership leader is the TCLF SME Fabio Molinas (Italy) and the partner is the technology provider/owner is Care Applications, S.L.U. (Spain). 

FUNCTEX - Functional coatings for fire protection textiles: heat storage and heat dissipation capacity, covering technology innovation in textile & clothing. The partnership leader is the TCLF SME APPLYNANO SOLUTIONS, S.L. (Spain) and the partner is the technology provider/owner STIMPEX, SA (Romania). 

IHMDILT - Iroony hemp materials development by Ionic Liquid Technology, covering technology innovation in textile & clothing. The partnership leader is TCLF SME RBX Créations (France) and the partner is the technology provider/owner Deutsche Institute für Textil-und Faserforschung Denkendorf (Germany). 

TEXDECON - Layered textile device for plague control, covering technology innovation in textile & clothing. The partnership leader is TCLF SME TexAlive Technologies S.L. (Spain) and the partner is the technology provider/owner ES CREATIVIDAD INNOVACION Y DESARROLLO SLU (Spain).

PLASMA NANOTEX - In-line plasma technology for a large throughput manufacturing of advanced nanofiber-based filter fabrics, covering technology innovation in textile & clothing. The partnership leader is the technology provider/owner Masaryk Univerzity (Czechia) and the partner is the TCLF SME partner NAFIGATE Corporation a.s. (Czechia). 

Circular economy and resource efficiency

DIGICIRCLE - Speeding up the transition towards sustainable and circular fashion, covering technology innovation in textile & clothing. The partnership leader is the technology provider/owner Senstile S.L. (Spain) and the partner is the TCLF SME circular.fashion UG (haftungsbeschränkt) (Germany). 

LEATHER SMART LCA - Sustainability Metrics & Automation for the Reduction of Impacts of the Tanning industry, through Life cycle assessment, covering technology innovation in footwear & leather. The partnership leader is the technology provider/owner spin360 srl (Italy) and the partner is the TCLF SME Conceria Gaiera Giovanni Spa (Italy).

NEW WHITE LEATHER - New white and easier to clean leather, covering technology innovation in footwear & leather. The partnership leader is the technology provider/owner CTIC - Centro Tecnológico das Indústrias do Couro (Portugal) and the partner is the TCLF SME Indutan - Comércio e Indústria de Peles, SA (Portugal).

High-value added solutions for attractive growth markets

SMART ICE-SKATING BOOTS - Sensor-based smart heated technology for ice-skating boots, covering technology innovation in footwear & leather. The partnership leader is the technology provider/owner Vulpés Electronics GmbH (Germany) and the partner is the TCLF SME EDEA SRL (Italy).

The 2nd ELIIT call for partnership proposals will be launched in early 2021. You can already register to the ELIIT platform to find textile, clothing, leather and footwear (TCLF) SMEs, and technology/owners and providers with which to work on an innovative partnership proposal!
