Zac Posen's New York Fashion Week show was accompanied by music from Mark Ronson
The US fashion designer showed his Spring/Summer 10 collection at The Altman Building at 9am, after being forced to move his showcase from its usual evening slot. Undeterred by the early hour, Zac had the building transformed into a nightclub, complete with curving runway, low lights and music from the renowned super-producer.

The US fashion designer enjoys the initial process of imagining a new collection, and likes to be prepared in case she sees something which triggers an idea.
She explained: "I love the conceptual part of the design process, which can come before seeing the fabric. I draw the ideas in my sketchbook, which I carry with me through the day, wherever I am, whatever I am doing."
Donna admits some of designs end up looking a lot different when they are finally made as they morph when they are being sewn.
Stella McCartney chose Bambi
The famous fawn Bambi is the main character in the new advertising campaign of Stella McCartney for her collection autumn-winter 2009-2010. “I love this cartoon character and the entire crew came to the decision that we can have fun. The clothes in the campaign are looking quite fierce, and we wanted to contrast them with the innocence of Bambi."
This is not the first time that a world fashion designer is inspired by a cartoon character. Mickey Mouse inspired US designer Jeremy Scott's autumn-winter 2009 collection.

The British designer insists it is fine to follow the latest trends, but warns fashion lovers must give their clothing a twist to ensure they stand out form the crowd.
She said: "Style it your way. Add accessories, roll up a sleeve or turn up a collar. Create a unique look. Mix a couple of pieces with your own existing wardrobe.
"Choose a statement piece by wearing the prints or embroidered pieces alone to give them breathing space."

John Galliano embraced the Russian look at Paris Fashion Week yesterday
The designer's ready-to-wear collection displayed peasant blouses, embroidered skirts and hip-waisted military coats teamed with towering high-heeled shoes and coin-covered headdresses. The outrageous collection - which included diaphanous vests and voluminous skirts and a Russian-style bridal gown - won praise from fashion fans and critics alike.
Model-and-actress Milla Jovovich, who was seated in the front row, said: "It was like some opening into a doorway of dreams in Russian-Ukrainian fairy tale fantasy dreams."
The crisis did not affect the Castilla y Leon Fashion Week
Castilla y Leon fashion week started on 3rd March in Burgos, Spain. Three days more than 30 Spanish designers and fashion houses present their collections for Autumn-Winter 2009-2010 in fashion shows and trade zone. The collections include womens, mens and children's clothes, underwear and lingerie, accessories and cosmetics. More than 140 journalists and importers from 37 countries attend the event. Here the crisis can not be felt and the organization is perfect. The main sponsor is the regional government which intends to help the growth of the companies from the fashion industry in Castilla y Leon and to raise the event to the level of the other international fashion weeks.
Christmas promotion of formal dresses with the brand "VENUS" - Italy

Children`s fashion from Spain for summer 2009
At the ninth edition of Castilla y Leon Fashion Week, that took place in Burgos, Spain from 7 to 9 October, two companies presented children`s garments. Rojatex showed a collection in bright colors - yellow, orange, green, blue and white. The stage where the boys and girls defiled was decorated in the same colors and patterns.
Trasluz presented one collection in red, black and white. The little beauties showed with much refinement stylish children`s dresses, their vision was complemented by pearl necklaces, coronets and ribbons.
Originality, innovation and mood at Castilla y León Fashion Week
From 7 to 9 October the Ninth Regional Castilla y Leon Fashion Week took place in Burgos to present a three-day show of the spring-summer collections for 2009, designed by more than 32 regional companies and designers. They were preliminary chosen by a jury of experts. The presented models were very original, interesting and fresh. The collections included womens and mens ready-to-wear and formal garments, babies and children`s clothes, underwear and swimwear, accessories, shoes and jewelry.
Eight previous editions of Castilla y Leon Fashion Week show that the event has grown to become a professional modelling show with a national and international flavour that is comparable to other great fashion festivals in Spain, such as Madrid and Barcelona Fashion Weeks.
London Fashion Weekend - the hit in the fashion calendar of Great Britain
On 24th September started one of the most prestigious fashion events in Great Britain - LONDON FASHION WEEKEND. The mega show takes place at the National History Museum in South Kensington and will continue until 28th September.
LONDON FASHION WEEKEND is the hit in the fashion calendar of Great Britain, where 150 fashion designers and experts on beauty present their key looks for Autumn-Winter 2008/2009.
All experts are at the opinion that this is the most stylish season of LONDON FASHION WEEKEND until now.
Castilla y León Fashion Week
Castilla y León Fashion Week (Semana de la Moda de Castilla y León) will gather Spanish and International agents, importers, wholesalers and journalists from the fashion industry on 7th-9th October 2008 in Burgos, Spain. The most innovative designers, together with experienced fashion firms, will take part in both the Fashion Catwalk and the Show Room, where you can test the quality and design of these companies. This is the third major fashion event taking place in Spain twice a year.
The range of designs that the event will cover includes Womenswear, Lingerie & Swimwear, Childrens clothing, Bridalwear, Cocktail and Evening Wear, Accessories, Leather Clothing, Men’s Wear.
Bulgarian designer participated in Barcelona Bridal Week
From 30 May until 1 June in Barcelona took place one of the biggest exhibitions of bridal fashion in Europe – Barcelona Bridal Week. At this shiny and very attractive event every year participate the most prestigious Spanish companies as well as world known designers from all over the world. This year among them were Pronovias, Rosa Clara and Hanibal Laguna.
For the first time a Bulgarian designer was invited to participate in this exhibition. Virginia Zdravkova had the honor and pleasure to present her nice dresses in Barcelona.
French fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent died
The greatest contemporary fashion dictator Yves Saint Laurent died in Paris on 1 June 2008 in Paris at the age of 71. After his death the high fashion will not be the same ... For many years he designed clothes that reflected women`s changing role in society, he dressed women in trousers and smokings. He managed to create an epoch of high style - a noble continuation of Coco Chanel, Christian Dior and Cristobal Balenciaga. He really managed to turn the history of apparel in history of the art! The Little Prince of French fashion is not among the living any more, but his million admirers will be with Yves Saint Laurent forever.

On 23.11.2007 the company “Opinions” officially opened its representative boutique for high fashion shoes on 4 Vitosha Blvd. in Sofia. The brand is owned by one of the biggest chains for wholesale and retail of sport and fashion goods in the region of Eastern Europe. Springfield in “Isolator”
Springfield presented in an original way its new collection men's and women's garments for autumn/winter 2007/2008 in the renovated gallery in Sofia “Rayko Alexiev”. The models came out of a big construction. On a completely white background were presented for the first time in our country the clothes of the spanish brand, that is sold in 600 stores around the world.
Both collections are distinguished by careless, youth style, comfort and quality materials, characteristic of Springfield.

A few day's ago Austrian/Hungarian fashion designer Edith A'Gay presented her new collection „Conversion“ spring-summer 2007 during the fashion week in Paris, in Espace Saint Martin. Edith A'Gay’s new collection is based on the principle of conversion. In the context of metamorphosis the outfits are variable due to the creativity of the person wearing them. This idea leads into the twilight zone of colourful fantasy and straight geometric silhouettes.
The first made in Italy in Web
Made in Italy enters the net. Alexander Serafimoff is a russian designer who creates knitted dresses illustrated with colourful landscapes and animals. He uses "%100 natural" yarn (sheep's and llama's wool as well as cotton).
"It definitely seems to me that nowadays the 100% organic yarn is not existing on sale. At present, if you see (at the label of yarn) an inscription "100%" you should realize that it's implying no more than 95%. The "hidden" rest (from 5% to even 10%) contains viscose, lavsan and so on -- "things" that make the knitwear made by "natural" yarn more "yielding springing" and less creased. Therefore I have to say that my "organic" knitwear is APPROXIMATELY organic..."
Teresa Rosati fashion show
The fashion show of the Polish designer Teresa Rosati took place in
Warsaw in the Grand Theatre.
Teresa Rosati is a designer of occasional wear and evening wear for VIPs
(especially for wives of ambassadors and diplomats from various
countries who are on diplomatic posts in Poland).
She says: "Elegance is not only conducive to our well being but also it is a
key to viable social and business contacts. It is also prerequisite to
success. I design clothes for modern, active women who wish to feel
elegant and charming throughout the day. In a nutshell, the clothes I
design have three things in common: high quality fabrics, simplicity of the
cut, and attractive additions".
Fashion competition "Designer of the Year" in Poland
In june in Poland took place a contest "The Designer of the Year" for professional fashion deigners from Poland which are working for the textile industry. The National Chamber of Fashion has been organizing this event for 5 years.
