The Spanish fashion brand Mango made its first triumph on the fashion stage. Mango made not just a fashion show, and a true beauty review. For a part of its collection the brand was inspired by Nomadic tribes. The designers played with asymmetric and colored mosaic, and the fabric looked like bathed in light.

Mexican fashion brand Jesus Ibarra + Bertholdo (JI+B)’s presentation on Friday evening garnered also quite a lot of attention. Mercedes-Benz brought the successful duo in from Mexico in the capital, their first international performance.

Ferrets - the new fashion accessory
Recently the normal view was Paris Hilton or Britney spears walking with Chihuahua puppies, peeking out from their designer bags.
However, this “living fashion accessory” gave place to another hairy pet – the ferrets.
Inspired by the famous owners of ferrets as Paris Hilton, Madonna and the wife of Jonathan Ross – Jane Goldman, ordinary Brit women also replaced their favourite Chihuahuas and Yorkshire Terriers with the cute creatures.

Armed with tongue-in-cheek humor, splashes of bright color, and intriguing aesthetic contrasts, the label's Autumn/Winter 2010-11 collection brought a healthy dose of fun back to the runway. Presented on Sunday, February 14th, as part of New York fashion week, the show sought an escapist route to the future of sport style.
Y-3 has always melded technology with tradition, and never has that been more apparent. For Fall, the label known for sport elegance took inspiration from bespoke English tailoring, reinterpreting classic shapes in futuristic materials, or alternately, classic materials in futuristic shapes. Jagger’s new generation for Versace
Georgia May Jagger is the new face of Versace’s spring-summer 2010 advertising campaign. The daughter of Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall recreates the image of contemporary Bridget Bardot in front of the camera of Mario Testino.
The 17-year-old Georgia has received Model of the Year at 2009’s British Fashion Awards. She was noticed by Donatella Versace, who admits: "She is smart, she has a strong personality, she is beautiful and full of energy".
Alexander McQueen's death mourned by the fashion world
The British designer Alexander McQueen was found dead in his Mayfair home yesterday morning, nine days after the death of his mother.
"At this stage it is inappropriate to comment on this tragic news beyond saying that we are devastated and are sharing a sense of shock and grief with Lee's family," said the statement, using the designer's real first name. Unconfirmed reports suggested that he had hanged himself.
Alexander McQueen's death came just days before the start of London fashion week.
Dior showed romantic, sensual and elegant collection at Paris Fashion Week
On 25 January 2010 during Paris Fashion Week was showcased the Spring-Summer 2010 High Fashion collection of the French fashion designer John Galliano for Dior.
With its Haute couture collection of refined riding clothes, Dior invited the chic women of the world to saddle up and ditch their handbags for a truly useful accessory: the riding crop. Kylie Minogue, one of a gaggle of A-list guests, said she was sure such an accessory could come in handy.

John Galliano thinks fashion is about "seducing all the senses"
The designer - who works for Christian Dior, as well as his own self-titled label - loves catwalk shows because they bring his creations to life.
He explained: "If a picture paints a thousand words, a show has 20 minutes to bring the muse, the mood and the feel of a whole season to life. I want to seduce all your senses.
"If the clothes are the script, the models are the silent sirens that have to bring the story alive. I love using theatre and magic to tell the tale."
