The 2021 Grammy Awards were history-making in many ways. Beyonce received nine nominations and became the most nominated female artist of all time. Dua Lipa and Taylor Swift, who both took home trophies for their respective 2020 albums, were right behind her with six nominations each.

Shattering the previous record of most all-time Billboard Music Awards wins, Drake took home 12 awards tonight, including Top Artist – the most of the evening, bringing his total to 27, now the most of any artist ever! Airing this evening from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas at 8pm ET/PT on NBC, the “2019 Billboard Music Awards” opened with a spectacular world premiere performance by global superstar Taylor Swift and Brendon Urie, followed by a showstopping medley of today’s biggest hits from show host, Kelly Clarkson. The winner of this year’s Innovation Award presented by MUNICH FABRIC START is Becker Tuche from Aachen. The company received the award for a new product development combining wool and Cordura with spandex – super lightweight and highly functional. The woven fabric features high abrasion resistance despite its low weight as well as very high water vapour permeability. Preferred areas of application are light outdoor styles as well as streetwear and corporate fashion.

Sports celebrities and influencers push the pedals for Laureus
IWC Schaffhausen celebrated the Laureus World Sports Awards in Monaco in the company of celebrities and influencers from the world of sports. The highlights of the event included a bike tour with the FORMULA ONE world champion Nico Rosberg and the official launch of the Da Vinci Chronograph Edition “Laureus Sport for Good Foundation”. Limited to 1,500 watches, this timepiece with its blue dial and back engraving is the 11th special edition to be launched by IWC as part of its commitment to the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. Some of the proceeds from sales are used to help to support the foundation’s sports projects for children and adolescents.

The Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) and Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA) announced the winners of the 22nd Annual Critics’ Choice Awards tonight, live from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. The show aired on A&E at 8PM ET/ 5PM PT and was hosted by actor and comedian T.J. Miller. “La La Land”, the most nominated film of the evening, took home eight awards, the most of the night, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay (a tie) for Damien Chazelle, Best Cinematography for Linus Sandgren, Best Production Design for David Wasco and Sandy Reynolds-Wasco, Best Editing for Tom Cross, Best Song, and Best Score for Justin Hurwitz.
