Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia takes place from 30 April to 4 May. Big names in Australian fashion hit the runway - Lisa Ho, Joanna Johnson, Zimmerman, Gail Sorronda, Ellery, Camilla, Oroton.

Gail Sorronda became the highlight of the opening day of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia. Sorronda made her models stood up on blocks like mannequins and model the clothes that give an intimate view of the collection. She used bright colors with bold shapes like circles and stripes. Elements of quirkiness, comfort and unique character are predominant in most of her designs.

Volvo Moscow Fashion Week 2012

Volvo Moscow Fashion Week was opened on Wednesday with the demonstration of a new collection by the Russian fashion designer Valentin Yudashkin.

Yudashkin said that while working on his collection he was inspired by “the expressiveness of rock music”, which materialized in hard silhouettes and a rich color gamut. The collection has already been presented at Paris Fashion Week.

Retro fashion from Lakme Fashion Week 2012

After New York, Milan and Paris, its turn to Mumbai, India to show the trends for Spring-Summer 2012.

Fashion conquered the Indian metropolis Mumbai from 2 to 6 March. 83 designers showcased their collections. The main color palettes for the season are gold and black, but all bright colors are also popular. The dresses are very feminine, tailored, with prominent shoulders like in retro fashion.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York presents collections Autumn-Winter 2012-2013

Yesterday, 9 February, officially kicked off the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York.

Collections for Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 will present world known designers and fashion houses among which Tommy Hilfiger, Diane von Furstenberg, DKNY, Alexander Wang, Jason Wu, Victoria Beckham, Altuzarra, Derek Lam etc.

During the first day their collections presented Max Azria, Richard Chai, Tadashi Shoji, Cynthia Rowley, who offered wearable and sell able looks for the season.

International Flamenco Fashion Show 2012 in Seville

From 2nd to 5th February took place the18th edition of the Seville International Flamenco Fashion Show 2012.

Flamenco flowers, dresses, shawls, shoes, necklaces and earrings were showcased at the fashion event in Seville, Spain. Twenty-four parades with 1200 dresses by professional designers such as Aurora Gaviño, Pilar Freire, Vicky Martín Berrocal, Juana Martín, Ana Morón, Cristo Báñez and Luchi Cabrera were presented. Visitors got a first glance of the latest in Flamenco Fashion.

The 55th edition of Madrid Fashion Week presents collections for 2012-2013

The 55th edition of Madrid Fashion Week, an event organised by IFEMA, began on Wednesday and will continue until Sunday 5th February. Hall 14.1 at Feria de Madrid hosts the staging of a series of shows organised by the leading names within the world of Spanish fashion, on this occasion under a new name: MERCEDES-BENZ FASHION WEEK MADRID (MBFWM). Jakarta Fashion Week 2012

The Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW) is Indonesia's definitive fashion event, held annually to showcase Indonesian fashion design talents as well as the progress of its burgeoning fashion and creative industry. The goal is to establish the city of Jakarta as a global fashion hub. Most shows are invites-only, reserved for buyers, local and foreign media, socialites, celebrities and the rest of the fashion-loving public.

This year more than 150 designers - local, regional and international - have confirmed their attendance at Jakarta Fashion Week 2012. The opening night (12 November) featured four of ASEAN's global talents: Biyan from Indonesia, the Singapore-born England-based Ashley Isham, Malaysia's Bernard Chandran and Thailand's Tube Gallery. 38 attractive models at Victoria's Secret show

On the evening of November 9 in New York took place Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. 31 sets of wings and 69 outfits in total were presented by the sexy angels. The whole to-do cost was $12 million and featured more than 2 million Swarovski crystals on the models. Candice Swanepoel opened the show in a ballet-inspired tutu. Karlie Kloss, Bregje Heinen, Joan Smalls and 12 more models made their Victoria's Secret debuts at the show, alongside seasoned names and the brand's legendary Angels among which Alessandra Ambrosio, Chanel Iman, Adriana Lima, Lily Aldridge.

Fashion Week Nis 2011

From 14 to 16 November in the city of Nis, the third-largest city in Serbia, will be held Fashion Week Nis 2011, organized by Agency SNOB. Earlier this year in April was the first edition of the event that gathered fashion designers from Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia and Bulgaria.

Atelier Ixtys with designer Dimana Nakova was the only representative from Bulgaria and they will participate again in November with their newest collection.

Christian Dior back on top at Paris fashion week with collection Spring-Summer 2012

Fashion house Christian Dior remover all doubt for its ability to be one of the top fashion brands with its collection of women's dresses for Spring-Summer 2012, presented at Paris Fashion Week.

The show at Rodin Museum gathered the high society and was the second show of Christian Dior without the designer John Galliano, who was the art director of the company in the past 15 years. Designer of the new collection is the former deputy of Galliano - the British Bill Gaytten.

Mercedes-Benz fashion week swim brings international line-up of swimwear designers to Miami

It’s finally beginning to feel like summer, and as we gear up for much anticipated longer days and warmer weather, it’s time to start getting ready for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim. For the seventh year, thousands of fashion industry professionals will migrate to the sands of Miami Beach to see what’s in store for the swimwear industry in 2012.

Europe Future Fashion 2011 presented designers from Croatia and other world fashion brands as French, Swedish, from Kosovo, Romania

On Friday, 8 July, was opened the 2011 edition of Europe Future Fashion. The nice atmosphere of hotel Le Meridien Lav gathered fashion experts and people from Split, who wanted to feel the fashion atmosphere. During the first evening famous designers from Croatia, France, Sweden Romania and Kosovo presented their new collections. The show was opened with ballet dances and the collection of Omnia Mei.

During the second evening their collections presented Edor Paris from France, Anemarie O, Mihaela Cirlugea, Maria Hera, Ana Čurić i David Priol.

Bulgarian brand Denyl presented their Spring-Summer collection with body art

The Bulgarian fashion brand Denyl presented its new collection in a non-standard way. The clothes were painted on the bodies of the models.

We have used to see the new designer collections at traditional fashion shows, where nice models pass on the catwalk and show the new trends. Yesterday in Sofia took place a non-standard event. For the first time the models did not wear the clothes, they were painted on them. "Our aim was to make the clothes live. Everyone can dress a model and make it walk back and forth. But not everyone can make the clothes live", explained the organizer of the event and author of the idea Mariana Germanova.

Ukrainian Fashion Week 2011

From 16 to 21 March Kiev hosted one of the major events in the fashion world – the 28th Ukrainian Fashion Week. Over 50 designers and fashion houses presented their visions for Autumn/Winter 2011-2012.

The viewers of the event had the opportunity to enjoy the incredible models, who sparkled in brilliant eccentricity and futuristic look. The original outfits were completed with hair styles resembling the horn of a ram or bird nests, extravagant jewelry and eccentric accessories.

An impressive fashion show – work of the graduates from "Design and architecture" department, module "Fashion", was presented in Sofia hall “Florimont Expo” on 6 of February.
Under the theme "(R)Evolutions" the fashion graduates demonstrated their creative works – collections of 6 models each, designed and constructed by the students.

Polish students created clothes made from paper

Unusual fashion show was organized in the Polish city of Krakow.

Freshmen students from the School of Art and Fashion design presented clothes made of junk paper – ketchup sachets, bags, magazine scraps and bits of tissue. The actual show went under the slogan “Fashion from junk 2011”. The clothes from the Junk fashion show really illustrated the imagination of the students.

Victoria's Secret hot fashion show in New York

Feathers, diamantes and over-the-top, sexy lingerie was clearly the order of the day at the annual Victoria's Secret fashion show held yesterday.

Jakarta Fashion Week 2010/2011

The JFW 2010/11 opened with а show entitled A Tribute to Kebaya, featuring Kebaya, the national dress of Indonesian women as interpreted by more than 20 renowned designers. On Sunday JFW presented a special collection created by one of Indonesia’s brightest talents Oscar Lawalata and British textile designer Laura Miles. Their collection is called Weaving the Future, in which the two designers worked together with traditional textile craftsmen and weavers, including from areas in Eastern Nusa Tenggara as well as other parts in Indonesia such as Garut, West Java.

Lviv fashion week Spring/Summer 2011

Beyoncé modeled in Tom Ford’s secret fashion show

Tom Ford showcased his first womenswear collection in six years with celebrity cast including Beyonce, Lauren Hutton, Daphne Guinness, Julianne Moore and Stella Tennant with very small, but glamorous show.

The extraordinary show was held in the designer’s store on Madison Avenue before an audience of perhaps 100 editors. Each of the beautiful celebrities looked sensational and as individual as she could be. The collection includes sharp pantsuits in black silk or leopard pattern, gorgeous black evening clothes with sheer blouses, corsets with details like hammered gold, jewelry, stilettos with ankle ties and seamed black stockings.

Dubrovnik Fashion Week International 2010

On 27th and 28th 2010 of August Dubrovnik Fashion Week International presented a series of fashion shows that took place on the open air catwalk set against a backdrop of perfectly preserved Renaissance and Baroque buildings, churches and palaces, within the historic walls of the Dubrovnik Old Town.

Major Croatian designers and fashion houses presented their collections including Hippy Garden, Juraj Zigman, Art Go'den, Mara Miloglav, Zjena Glamocanin, SMart and Marina Design.

Underwater fashion show in Seoul

Seoul hosted the world’s first underwater fashion show on Sunday, showcasing traditional Korean dresses.

During the show, mermaid-like models presented vibrantly colored traditional “hanbok” dresses, created by fashion designer Park Sul-Nyeo. The models posed in a water tank for the shoot without any snorkels or oxygen masks.

Jean Paul Gaultier with a fashion show in Moscow's Kazansky train station

French fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier presented his first haute couture collection in Russia at a Moscow's Kazansky train station.

At the show attended many Russian celebrities – actors, pop stars, as well as fashion designers. Gaultier opened his first boutique in the centre of Moscow in 2005. He was surprised by the pace of change the city had seen since then.

Sports garments were shown in Ruse

During the exhibition "Weekend Tourism", which takes place from 13 to 15 May in the City Theatre of Ruse, was held a fashion show of clothes and shoes for tourism and leisure.

In the fashion show participated models from Elit-D, model agency of Diana Poptoneva, who presented garments of Kappa, Puma, Hi-TEC and other fashion brands.

Fashion Portal Ruse 2010 fascinated hundreds of people

During the International Fashion Forum - Ruse 2010 took place the second fashion edition of "Fashion Portal - Ruse 2010". The scene was built among the fountains in front of Ruse Municipality, which created an unique atmosphere.

Their collections presented Arda-Ruse, Markam Fashion, Rollman, Deni Deor, Vayana, Bordo, Lenars-Maria Fashion salon and Radina-Maria. Their models also presented pupils from Vocational High School of Clothing and Design - Ruse.
