This happened at an official tea degustation in „Grand Hotel Sofia”, where was presented one of the creators of collection „Althaus” Ralf Janecki. The most important achievements in Bulgarian fashion will be honored with the “Golden needle 2008” award at a brilliant ceremony in “Sheraton Sofia Hotel Balkan”. From 7 to 9 October the Ninth Regional Castilla y Leon Fashion Week took place in Burgos to present a three-day show of the spring-summer collections for 2009, designed by more than 32 regional companies and designers. They were preliminary chosen by a jury of experts. The presented models were very original, interesting and fresh. The collections included womens and mens ready-to-wear and formal garments, babies and children`s clothes, underwear and swimwear, accessories, shoes and jewelry.
Eight previous editions of Castilla y Leon Fashion Week show that the event has grown to become a professional modelling show with a national and international flavour that is comparable to other great fashion festivals in Spain, such as Madrid and Barcelona Fashion Weeks.

For Autumn-Winter Bulgarian fashion houses offer a big variety of colors and models of coats that are in accordance with the world fashion trends for the season. The black is seen rarely, the trendy colors are red, blue, lilac, fuxia, green and white, that remind of the summer and create elegant look and spirit. The coats are garnished with embroideries and flowers, outer seams, attractive collars and sleeves that create a fresh appearance. Some models look like dresses with many inverted pleats and frills on the sleeves.

Castilla y León Fashion Week (Semana de la Moda de Castilla y León) will gather Spanish and International agents, importers, wholesalers and journalists from the fashion industry on 7th-9th October 2008 in Burgos, Spain. Ivelina Dagsvold was born in Stara Zagora, she is 32 years old. From seven years she lives in Norway. She graduated the Plovdiv university, in Bulgaria she worked as a journalist. She went in Norway to realize her dream to study fashion design. In Oslo she studied Art and design at Oslo university college. She participated in different fashion contests, but her first professional presentation is at Oslo fashion week. After she sent sketches she was approved, from May to 10 August she worked on her collection. The brand name that she launched is "nÅrsk". That means "norvegian". The interesting thing is that the word is written wrong, the correct is "norsk".
Margin London is one of the prestigeous fashion festivals in Great Britain (other two are PURE and THE PARCK). It is an international exhibition for street fashion featuring young labels. Once a short list had been selected by the German Association of Fashion and Textile Designers by the end of May this year, ?ARKAM FASHION was invited to make a presentation at two of the themes for the trend show, and those were URBAN REMIX and ARTY JET SET, among only ten brands selected to present their concepts for Spring & Summer 2009. This trend show is to take place at the Fashion theatre, at Pavilion no. 11, and the event is due to happen twice a day, in the course of the show.

From 30 May until 1 June in Barcelona took place one of the biggest exhibitions of bridal fashion in Europe – Barcelona Bridal Week. Young Italian designers visited Bulgaria and presented their author collections. Marko Morreale, Valentina Sciumé, Patermo, Michelle Bono and Luisa Luparello transfered the guests of the fashion show in an exotic sicilian atmosphere.

CIGARETTE is a yacht presented by the Bulgarian company Yachtpoint. This model attracted all visitors` attention with its gleaming red colour but much more with the beautiful leggy girls conquering the yacht board with graceful step.
Gea Antonova (age 18) from Sofia is the new winner of „Become a face of Kwiat” competition. She gained the opportunity to take photo session with the newest glass models of Kwiat 2008 collection. She also gained a money prize and „Kwiat Exclusive” sunglasses from the newest 2008 collection.
The jury awarded the second place to Dimitar Stoyanov (age 18) from Sofia. He also gained glasses, model „Kwiat Limited Edition” from the newest 2008 collection. The third place was taken by Anna Ivanova (age 21) from Sofia who gained „Kwiat” sunglasses too. Elena Nosikova (age 18) from Asenovgrad was awarded with the special prize - „Kwiat” sunglasses.

The performers of the hit song „DJ, Take Me Away”, Deep Zone Project and Balthazar trusted completely Virginia Zdravkova in the development of their scene costumes. They will present our country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 that will take place in Belgrade on 24 May.

The designer offers interesting colour suggestions. More sensual, romatic and colourful than ever will look every woman in Leticia`s garments. The garments in the collection have original details and accents - unusually high waist, richly decorated necklines, decorative ribbons, hand sewn stones. Markam Fashion was selected to take part among other 9 companies at the CPD Trend show in Düsseldorf from the 10th of February till the 12th of February 2008. The catwalk show had 2 editions every day at the Fashion theater during the International Fashion Fair in Germany.
More than 2000 exhibitors from all over the world were presented at the fair. Markam Fashion was the only Bulgarian brand name singled out for the catwalk.
The beautiful face of the TV fashion show „Mirrors“, namely Radost, became a face of the fashion brand A’S FASHION FOR LIVING. She will hold this position for the time of the forthcoming spring-summer season. She already took a special photo session for the famous fashion house. The place was not accidentally chosen. The show-room of Mmobili in Sofia was temporary turned into a TV studio.

On 19 December 2007 took place the charitable premiere of "Almanac of Bulgarian fashion 2008" under the patronage of the first lady Ms. Zorka Parvanova. Author of the almanac is prof. Lubomir Stoykov, chairman of the Academy of fashion.

Fashion house "Anna Maria" with designer Maria Nedkova presented its newest collection autumn-winter 2007-2008 in the Central military club.
The collection comprises of 60 garments, divided in 7 themes. The silhouette of the clothes follows the line of the body. The style is business, however decorated with original details and accents. Shortening the proportions is characteristic of the garments in the collection. The waist is higher - a trend for the season. In the bottom part the silhouette is layered. The trousers are long, type "cigarette" or volume. Most of the jackets are taken in at the waist, some models are with a straight silhouette and with a length to the waist.

Paolina is 19 years old. She grew up in the town of Ruse, known for its 19th & 20th century Neo-Baroque and Neo-Rococo architecture. It is also a significant Bulgarian river port.
She is currently studying economics and management, her ambition is to be an excellent manager. Paolina enjoys reading, cinema, volleyball, modern ballet, traditional Bulgarian dancing (she won a regional dance competition) and listening to all music from traditional to disco and R’n’B. Her motto is: “The secret of the success is in the perseverance to the aim”.
On 30 November 2007 the supermodel Eva Herzigova and the co-owner and vice presidents of Chopard – Mrs. Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele opened the first luxury shop of the brand in Bulgaria. That is the 103-rd boutique in Chopard in the world and the first in Eastern Europe.

The coming graduation season will be unlike any other. It has so far exceeded our boldest expectations and now, half a year before the graduation emotions have reached their peak, I can firmly declare that the graduation fashion campaign has reached its summit. This year our Fashion Psychology Department has designed over 26 models based on girls’ features, which were able to surprise even me in my capacity of Lead Designer of the fashion brand.
If you think, we have once again chosen some exotic and adventurous place for our photo session, you are wrong this time! I have called this collection a “jewelry collection”. It took us more than a year to develop the psychological profiles and design each single dress, to design the new outlines and, literally speaking, encrust the dresses with all stones and crystals with surgical accuracy with each millimeter of them reflected in our design schemes.

Atelier SIMON shot its newest photo session with the top model Hristina Hlebarova, well known from the covers of various fashion magazines. On the evening of 19 November, Grand Hotel Bulgaria hosted the presentation of Ariston S’s Fall/Winter 2007 collection. The oval salon of the hotel barely seated all guests, who gathered to see the stylish fashion show.
