Disney Pixar`s Up opened Cannes Film Festival

The 62nd Festival was opened for the first time with an animation film. Disney Pixar's Up is the story of an old man who achieves his dream of flying away to the wilds of South America when he ties thousands of balloons to his house, only to discover that a nine-year-old boy explorer has stowed away with him.

The film features the voices of Christopher Plummer and John Ratzenberger and is directed by Pete Docter, of Monsters Inc and Toy Story fame.

Metropolitan Museum of Art opened "The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion" exhibition

A suit from the most expensive luxury wool sold for £70,000

A suit made from "the world's most expensive wool", designed by Alexander Amosu, has been sold to a mystery buyer for £70,000.

It took more than 80 hours to make the suit from Arctic wool, qiviuk, and rare South American wool, vicuna.

"I firmly believe that in the wake of the recession, there is still a demand for uncompromising quality", said the designer Alexander Amosu.

Castilla y Leon fashion week started on 3rd March in Burgos, Spain. Three days more than 30 Spanish designers and fashion houses present their collections for Autumn-Winter 2009-2010 in fashion shows and trade zone. The collections include womens, mens and children's clothes, underwear and lingerie, accessories and cosmetics. More than 140 journalists and importers from 37 countries attend the event.
