British women wear mini-skirts up until the age of 40, according to a research made by Debenhams department store. Just 20 years ago only few women would dare to wear a mini-skirt after the age of 33, the store said.
"It shows that women now have an increasing confidence in their bodies and are happy to dress accordingly," it added in a statement."If this trend continues, there's no doubt that, within the next decade, women in their mid 40s and early 50s will rightly regard a mini-skirt as an essential part of their everyday wardrobe."

Bulgarian fashion brand Doychinoff will take part in Paris' fashion week this
year for the first time.
“Co-evolution occurs when two or more biological species influence each other
to their evolution.” This sentence is on the top of the new catalog cover
of designer Maria Doychinova, which presents her last collection, named Symbion.
“It is symbiosis between arts and fashion. We worked with two artists Iskren
Iliev and Iliana Nagel. We make one closed circle , in which on one side their
paintings were inspiration for me, and at the other side created huge paintings
2x2 metres, connected with my collection”,
explains Doychinova.

The famous fawn Bambi is the main character in the new advertising campaign of Stella McCartney for her collection autumn-winter 2009-2010. “I love this cartoon character and the entire crew came to the decision that we can have fun. The clothes in the campaign are looking quite fierce, and we wanted to contrast them with the innocence of Bambi."
This is not the first time that a world fashion designer is inspired by a cartoon character. Mickey Mouse inspired US designer Jeremy Scott's autumn-winter 2009 collection.

Stella McCartney finds making non-leather shoes thrilling
The fashion designer - who is a strict vegetarian and refuses to use animal
hides in her collections - admits making attractive, non-leather shoes can
be hard, but it determined to make her designs as desirable as possible.
She said: "It is 70 per cent more expensive for us
to make non-leather shoes. Thank God we have a profitable business and can
afford to do it. But ultimately, I'm a fashion designer and I see it as my
