Stella McCartney has begged Lindsay Lohan to stop wearing leather
The British designer - who refuses to use animal hides in her designs
- is determined to persuade the 23-year-old actress to ditch any clothes containing
animal skins.
A source told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "Stella
is concerned that Lindsay is going overboard with her use of leather.
"Lindsay wears a lot of Stella's designs and she doesn't want
to be associated with such a high-profile star who insists on wearing animal

Kylie Minogue sought inspiration for her stage costumes at Jean-Paul Gaultier's haute couture show
The singer - clad in a vintage black lace cone-bra dress from the
designer - was in the crowd at Paris Couture Week for the golden age of
Hollywood-inspired show from the man who will co-style her forthcoming
North American tour.
Models were made up in the style of classic screen sirens including

Supermodel Karen Mulder has been arrested for making "threatening" phone calls to a plastic surgeon
The 39-year-old star was questioned at a Paris police station after calling the medic and reportedly demanding for a previous operation to be reversed.
A detective said: "She was screaming and shouting about the operation and became extremely threatening. There were repeated calls to the female surgeon who was extremely scared. The suspect is being interviewed."
Karen was arrested at about 10am yesterday (30.06.09) and taken to a station in the fashion district of the French capital city.

Fashion evenings 2009 - elegance, refinement and beauty
On 13 and 14 June 2009 in Grand hotel Varna, St. Konstantin and Elena thiumphed fashion and beauty. The eight edition of one of the biggest fashion events in Bulgaria - "Fashion evenings" gathered those who appreciate beauty on a fashion show, which presented collections of famous Bulgarian designers and fashion houses, as well as importers of quality garments and accessories.
The fashion show was held with the kind stewardship of Grand hotel Varna and with the support of its general director Mr. Ivan Portnih. Official sponsor were the cigarettes Merilyn Slims. Producer of the event is Ekaterina Toneva, Mrs. Bulgaria World Beauty 2007, the organization and performance is made by Amalia Tincheva. The major media partner was the Bulgarian fashion directory Fashion.bg, which celebrated 10 years since its creation.
The ambassador of Italy gave very high praise to prof. Lubomir Stoykov
Prof. Lubomir Stoykov’s new book World Fashion. Part Three: Italy is already a cultural and aesthetical fact. During its official premiere at Vitosha Park Hotel, it was presented by H.E. Stefano Benazzo – ambassador of Republic of Italy to Bulgaria who is also author of the introductory words. Mr. Benazzo notices: The work of Prof. Lubomir Stoykov has the merit to tell the story of the evolution of the Italian fashion through the stories of our biggest designers from the post-war period until the present, showing that fashion is most of all a result of the labour of really unusually people rather than of more or less inspired persons, more or less anti conformists. Dolce and Gabbana are set to launch their online store
The Italian fashion house's site www.dandgstore.com will sell clothes,
accessories, beachwear, eyewear and jewellery, which will be available to 31
countries worldwide. Speaking about the website, Stefano Gabbana told WWD.com: "The
online
boutique is like a game. It's a fun and immediate way to shop, without space
or time limitations. We are confident it will get people even closer to D
and G's dynamic universe."
The news comes just days after the designers - whose celebrity fans include
Kylie Minogue, Victoria Beckham and Naomi Campbell - announced they were
cutting their prices by up to 20 per cent. Gabbana admitted people were less
willing to part with their hard-earned
cash during the current economic climate so have slashed the costs of their

Bulgarian designers' fashion show in Vien on Fashion TV
The designers' duo "Bipone", "Golden needle 2008" owners for the best young designer proved again that they deserve this award.
The students of New Bulgarian University succeeded in two weeks to provoke the media.
After they were between the eighth finalists from whole Austria on the fashion
competition "Ringstrassen Galerien Designer Award", they presented their collection glamorously
on the last fashion show in Hilton hotel in Vien.
On the grand fashion performance the talented Bulgarians made the fashion specialists
seriously to reestimate the value of Bulgarian fashion. Between the 500 official
guests were the Bulgarian ambassador in Austria Radi Naidenov and the director of the Bulgarian

Claudia Schiffer is to front a campaign for Alberta Ferretti's first perfume
The 38-year-old German supermodel has already posed for adverts for the
as yet unnamed scent, which will be launched this autumn.
Claudia confirmed: "It's an honour to be
chosen as the face of the Alberta Ferretti fragrance. Alberta and I have worked
together for many years and it's wonderful to be able to collaborate on this
exciting project together. Alberta's designs always embody femininity and elegance
which are reflected in this fragrance."
The scent is being produced by Elizabeth Arden Inc., and the campaign
